Deputies are elected through open list proportional representation.
Voters cast their vote for either a political party or an individual.
Votes given to candidates from each party are pooled and added to the votes received by that party to give a total party vote; this is used to determine the number of seats won by each party.
The candidates with the most votes on each party list win the seats allocated to that party.
