The Political Database of the Americas (PDBA) is a non-governmental project at the Center for Latin American Studies at Georgetown University. All materials contained in this website that are created and/or gathered and maintained by the Political Database of the Americas at Georgetown University are protected with the copyright held by Georgetown University, unless otherwise stated.

Documents, statistics, data and other official governmental or public materials presented in the Political Database of the Americas (PDBA) are public domain. As such, the PDBA does not assert copyright over them. However, the PDBA does claim copyright over the markup, presentation, organization, systematization and analysis of these materials. If you would like to report a copyright infringement, please contact the PDBA or Georgetown University's DMCA agent.

Conditions for Use

It is the goal of the Political Database of the Americas to provide objective, reliable and relevant information about the political landscape of the thirty-five countries of the Americas in order to promote democracy in the Western Hemisphere. Whenever possible, the PDBA prefers to include official information provided by governmental and public sources. The PDBA and Georgetown University do not assume responsibility for omissions or inaccuracies in materials on this Website nor any consequences resulting from the use of information from this Website.

Permission to use Political Database of the Americas materials for commercial purposes or for financial gain must be approved in advance by an authorized representative of the Political Database of the Americas at Georgetown University.
