(1) El Vice-Presidente de la República ejerce las funciones de Presidente del Senado durante el período de su mandato. Preside las sesiones pero no participa de los debates ni vota, salvo en caso de producirse empate. / The Vice-Presient of the country holds the position of president of the Senate during the duration of his term. He/She presides the sessions but does not participate or vote, unless in situations of a vote tie.
(2) Un tercio de los miembros se renueva cada 2 años. / A third of the members are renewed every 2 years.
(3) Las comisiones bicamerales de el Senado y de la Camara de Diputados en los sitios web oficiales no coincide. / The Bicameral comissions of the Senate and of the Members of Parliament Chamber do not coincide, based on their official websites.
(4) Se añaden dos tablas, por separado, una con los diputados que asumieron en 2009 y permanecerán en su cargo hasta 2013 y la segunda, con la lista de diputados electos en octubre de 2011 y que tomaran posesión el 10 de diciembre de 2011. Para los diputados del primer período se informa el bloque al que pertenecen mientras para los diputados electos en octubre, se informa el partido por el que ingresaron ya que aún no conforman oficialmente ningún bloque. / Two separate tables are added, one with the deputies elected for the 2009-2013 period and the other with the deputies elected for the 2011-2015 period who take possesion of their offices on December 8th, 2011. The deputies in the first table are listed according to what parliamentary group they belong to while the deputies in the second table are listed according to the political party through which they gained their seats (as they haven't officially joined any parliamentary group yet).
(5) La mitad de los miembros se renueva cada 2 años. / One half of the members are renewed every 2 years.
(6) Creadas cuando es necesario / Formed when necessary.
